After a whole year of routine day job the holiday comes, and it gave me a chance to travel, alongside with my wife, and my dog, we had doubts about where to go to. Since all the problems happening in Europe all the events that threaten the safety of a family. We needed a Europe Safe Zone.

Singel Hotel Amsterdam

We struggled a bit after a friend of mine, told me about a place in Amsterdam, Netherland. It’s called Singel Hotel, this place was in the center of the city, where everything is close by, you won’t need public transportation at all. the view and I quote ” Marvelous “.

The hotel is located in the heart of Amsterdam. Surrounded by historical sites and monument arts, from 17th and 18th centuries. This gives the hotel a unique perspective, u find just near all the necessities from the supermarket to bookstores, the train and metro station just nearby.

Located in the middle of the city near the Anne Frank House, where the young teen wrote her diary while hiding from the Nazi’s with her family. The original diary is on display at the house.

According to some books, I read while waiting for my wife in the lobby.  (she takes forever to get ready), the book says that these canals were made around the 17th century. the magical about this are the boats, they use them as day to day mean of transportation, as my wife says, it was romantic as Titanic, between us, if I had known this place before, I’d have proposed to here in one of these boats.

The hotel is known from all over the city because of where it’s located, I literally didn’t take any taxi, I just walked down from the train station, asked a bunch of kids, by the way, the environment down there is very welcoming. they sense a foreigner, maybe it’s the language haha. we saw Securities and police forces all over the street, means this place is really protected, it is really Europe safe zone.

The TIN-Theater Museum features the history of the theater back to the Middle Ages. And the Film museum features a history on cinema history. The FOAM specializes in photography.

• Rich cultural heritage.
• Vibrant lifestyle.
• A large number of museums, nightclubs, pubs and shopping areas.

For the adventurous tourists and travelers, Amsterdam also offers campgrounds just outside the city. In winter it gets very cold in Amsterdam – cold enough to freeze the waterways – so for the avid camper, summer is the best time to visit. Residents of Amsterdam even skate along the waterways during the winter for pleasure and as a way to get from one place to another.

in Conclusion:

The city of Amsterdam is an old city that has embraced the new cosmopolitan flair of Europe. The seat of government is in The Hague, but Amsterdam is also thought of as the capital and it is the home of The Netherlands’ royal family. The Dutch are also a cultured people who enjoy the finer things in life when it comes to the arts. So this would be a very good place to start a historical tour.
